Foods that can be eaten in the Atkins Diet

Atkins diet is shaped around healthy foods. A brief list of foods during this shaped are as follow;

Meats: Beef, lamb, chicken, bacon, and others.

Oily fish and seafood: salmon, trout, sardine, etc.

Eggs: Quail, chicken eggs

Low carb vegetables: Cabbage, spinach, broccoli, asparagus, and others.

Whole milk products: Butter, cheese, cream, whole fat yogurt.

Nuts and seeds: Almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds and so on.

Healthy oils: Extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, and hazelnut oil.

Pulses: Chickpeas, lentils, red beans
Cereals: Wheat, barley, rye, rice
Vegetable oils: Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil
Sugar: Pastries such as sugar-containing beverages, fruit juices, confectionery, ice cream, cakes
High carbohydrate vegetables: Peas, carrots, potatoes, turnips, sweet potatoes (only to be avoided during the first stage)
High carb fruits: Bananas, apples, pears, oranges, figs, grapes (only to be avoided in stage 1)
