Beetroot Hummus Recipe
Looking for a healthy, delicious and interesting cold appetizer recipe for yourself or your guests? Then, here is a beetroot hummus recipe, which contains healthy foods and you can easily prepare at home.
- 2 cups boiled chickpeas
- 1 beetroot
- 1 tbs tahini (ground sesame seeds)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2.5 tbs olive oil
- 1 lemon juice
- 1.5 tbs salt
- 1/2 tbs cumin
- 1.5 tbs of water
How to Prepare:
First of all, begin boiling whole beetroot without peeling its shell. Boil beetroot in hot water for 20-25 minutes. After taking out from boiling water, immediately put it in a bowl filled with ice water. Then, soak it in ice water for about 1-2 minutes.
Now, remove it from ice water and chop boiled beetroot. Mix all the other ingredients together with the minced beets in blender until you have a smooth consistency. You can also add olive oil and water to adjust its consistency. When it reaches the desired consistency, take the beetroot hummus into the serving plate and sprinkle minced parsley on top. Finally, pour some olive oil over the hummus.
